JLH-04 are synthetic zeolite of the type A crystal structure, in sodium form having after dehydration an effective pore opening of 4 Angstroms.It can also adsorb molecules such as nitrogen and oxygen from the air and used as a water adsorbent in paints formulation, pastes, adhesives, chemical reaction where water is created and has to be eliminated to increase efficiency of a molecular synthesis.
Moisture is one of the primary challenges in the polyurethane industry since the material readily absorbs water from the air and create gaseous carbon with the isocyanate constituent. The Carbon Dioxide gases can create undesirable effects such as air bubbles on polyurethane coating, which significantly decreases the shelf life of the product.
JLH-04 is largely used to remove moisture from polyurethane polymer systems; it deals with moisture problems without causing undue problems with shelf-life viscosity etc. Other types are used as additives for selective adsorption in defined polymer system or coating systems
